Act 1: Side Gig
"You have a beautiful voice they said. I had to agree. With one company gone and people looking for something to do... I agreed. What do I have to lose?"
Voice Over: Romance is found in the strangest places. It can be a strange feeling that starts in the pit of your stomach when you see that person from across the room, or hear their voice calling to you. But you know when love is pure, that it's right and it is true when you feel it deep within your soul... Even if that person isn't real.
A Studio somewhere in LA
The scene opens on the beautiful city of LA. The streets were crowded with traffic once again, as it rushes past a plain looking building where a few cars sat in front. The camera moves to the interior of the building where we see a lobby and a front desk where no one sits. The camera moves past it and into a massive room where we see booths around the room. In one of them sat Necra Octavian Kane. She sits with a stand in front of her with papers on it, and a set of headphones on her head. Across the room in another both was a young man with short blond hair, and blue eyes. He and a young Japanese girl exchange lines, as the rest of the people in the booths watch on.
Woman: But you still have to save the world.
Man: Saving you is saving the world.
Voice: Necra? Necra it's your turn... Necra?
The camera pans to the booth where Necra sat, as she sniffles and holds back tears that had started to stream down her cheeks.
Voice: Can someone check on Necra please... I think shes broken.
The young Japanese woman moves across the floor and into where Necra sat.
Woman: Are you alright?
Necra: I'm sorry Sakura... He was just so... So sweet. No wonder Joanne loves Uh Oh.
Uh Oh: Thank you?
Sakura: Are you going to be ok?
Necra nods as she wipes away the last few tears.
Man 2: That's something that you don't see every day... When Death can be moved to tears by a few words.
Necra looks next to her and shakes her head.
Necra: There has been only one other that moved me like that Darkholme... But the way most people see it, it never happened.
Darkholme: Right. I'm glad that you agreed to be a part of this.
Necra: I'm surprised that you even asked me. Or any of us for that matter.
Darkholme: Well Hollywood celebs ask for more money than what I'm willing to pay. Wrestling superstars are great and cheaper to pay. No offense.
Necra: None taken...
Dakholme: Are you going to be alright?
Necra: Yeah... If it's alright, I'm going to take a breather for a few minutes. I have to take care of something anyway.
Darkholme: Alright everyone take a break. We'll restart in half an hour.
Necra nods and heads outside into the late afternoon. The sound of cars rushing this way and that along the main thoroughfare and the vast streets. Necra walks along taking in everything around her as she does.
Necra: My title is up for grabs... But I have to say I'm not worried. I heard what you had to say Eddie. Really? You think that I am worried about you? And that I don't intimidate you? Funny most people say until it is to late, and they are facing their end. Eddie you are nothing to me. Just like everyone that I have faced off against and when you think I'm not there in the shadows watching you just know that I will always be there. Watching and waiting for the right movement to strike. This match should have been between you and me, but no... Lindsey had to poke her nose into it and now it's a triple threat. But still I am not worried about this little match. Do you know why? I am the one and only true Atrocity Champion!
She smiles to herself as she stops in front of a boutique window filled with expensive looking clothes. Her reflection seemed to change to a young woman wearing a long dress with a crown of what looks like flowers that were in full bloom. Her image soon shifts back to her normal form as she continues to walk along.
Necra: Eddie do you really need another title? I mean that would be very greedy of you wouldn't it? I think I'll hold onto it just a little longer and actually, maybe lose it to someone worth while. You are not worth my time, let alone worrying about in this match. Leave it to us ladies to take charge and fight over what is rightfully mine. Lindsey my dear you poked your nose into a match that shouldn't concern you but here you are involved in something that could have been so simple to handle but no, you had to do it didn't you? You just couldn't wait your turn could you? Of course not!
Her high heeled sandals click along the sidewalk as she passes by the closed up shops feeling what could be spirits moving around her. The voices whispered to her as she tried to block them out as she passed spots where people had been died from natural causes or a quick death from a murder.
Necra: Lindsey, I know that you can hold your own, but I'm afraid that it will not be enough to stop the true champion. I've been in worse matches then this one, and have been out numbered more than once and yet I still managed to pull out wins, and take titles. So when you come at me, make sure you come at me with everything that you have just to make sure that I don't get back up and hold onto my title just a little bit longer. I will not lose my title to either one of you. And no one is going to stop me...
She soon stops in front of what appears to be an old hospital. The windows had been mostly boarded up, while others had been broken out, with shards of glass still remaining within the frames. Necra turns her face up toward the windows and smirks.
Necra: The souls that dwell within this place are amazing. The pain, the fear, the doubt, the darkness that wanders the halls that lay before me is ripe for the picking. Heather Haze... You have humiliated me twice... But there will not be a third time. You see I can play nice, I can take a joke as much as the next person, but when I am made to look a fool the fun and niceness ends with me. If I had a say in this match you would not be the ref. I want someone that can actually call the match down the middle and not play favorites. Can you do that? Or do you have the brain capacity to understand what that means dear? I'm sure that you do, but then again... Look at who you are married to...
Necra smiles as she starts to head to the front door of the old Linda Vista Hospital. Her eyes start to glow red as she turns and looks over her shoulder.
Necra: We'll see you soon enough. And when we all meet there will only be one outcome, and that is with me retaining my title, and leaving you two laid out in the middle of the mat wondering where it all went wrong. I am the Goddess of the Dead, The Queen of Death, The Lady in Black, The Angel of Death, The Reaper of Souls, The Crawling Chaos, The Creeping Death, The Child of Heaven and Hell! Fear me for when you look upon me you will see your end. See you soon and good luck, you're going to need it.
She heads inside as her high heeled sandals clicked along the old floors, as she seemed to disappear into nothingness as the scene fades to black.
